The commercial was so depressing until the girl smashed the tv. She was trying to break the hypnotism, and change there mindset. 1984 was the inspiration of the commercial. Everyone is being controlled by the guy on the tv until the girl broke the chain. It was trying to convince people to buy the computer because it would get them out of that state of mind.

Final Reflection:
Words are a form of expression. They give meaning to the things we say or write. Without words we wouldn't be able to have a conversation or write a letter or learn anything new for that matter. Our vocabulary would never grow, which would stop our IQ from growing also. We'll be nothing.

The government should use technology (surveillance, communications, spying methods) in order to ensure stability, peace and order throughout the country. 
 I strongly disagree with this statement because they're watching everyones every move. There's no freedom. I just won't feel comfortable being watched I don't know about anyone else. But if it comes down to using surveillance to catch a killer that different. It's okay to use it then but not on a regular basis.

This song relates to mindset in so many way. Estelle and Jamal have growth mindsets. Life has its ups and downs but you have to always push through and get back up. You have to accept the challenges and conqueror them. That's exactly what a Growth Mindset is about accepting challenges, making mistakes/failing but standing tall and not letting it bring you down.

No there will never be true equality. There's always going to be social class, differences and people who are just stereotypical or racist. I think some people may want true equality and some people don't. Equality means everything is equal so some might want that and other might want to have and flaunt their differences.

Utopian Society:
It will be a place of relaxation. There would be no racism. Everyone can feel free to be themselves without getting judged. Everyone would get alone. There would be no violence.

Final Reflection:
The Mindset of the United States in 2081 is Fixed. They allow the government to make their every decision, they do not push through to make a change. Vonnegut is trying to tell us that equality should remain a political thing. It should be personal. Everyone is entitled to be different. I agree with him 100% This story relates to mindset because it shows people with fixed mindset but Harrison and the Ballerina rebelled against it. They wanted to grow and they weren't going to let anyone stop them.

To me what motivates a villain the most is one or the other. Their past and background or their grudge against someone. They get the drive off of something that happened to them that left an impact on them for the rest of their live or just the hatred they have for someone.

Essential Question:
The relationship between Critical Thinking and Identity is simple to me. If you challenge yourself to think deeper that shows your character or in other words identity. If you don't well it shows that too. It all fall on the type of person you are.

Success comes through failure. If you don’t fail then you’ll never grow. Its important to see it this way because it helps us understand our mindset. If you agree then you have a growth mindset; if you don’t well you have a fixed mindset. Don’t stay stuck in the same place trying to please everyone by being the best all the time, fall down a couple of times and stand up stronger than before; that right there shows you have potential to be great. Mindset and Genius

    Michael Jordan's trait that separated him from the rest was his will power. He never gave up, instead it just gave him the urge to get back up and try harder. That right there is what determines whether you'll be the greatest or just another regular good player.

Reflection:

    I would say I'm a genius at cooking certain dishes like lasagna. My friends and family die for it, they love it. I fell like I can make lasagna with my eyes closed and over the years it just came easier and easier to me that I make it look quick and easy.

    Memorization is the lowest form of knowledge because your not learning anything new, your just memorizing things you already know. Today's assignment has me a little worried. Finding claims would be easy but finding counter claims and rebottling them is a challenge. Also putting it in essay form is sort of challenging for me. But I got this all I need is a push.
